Team Associated RC18R: Hybrid Theory

The 18R is very similar t the previous 18s; the only differences on the rolling chassis are the use of shorter arms, different shock towers, and the inclusion of short shocks on the front and rear.

Overall, the motor is more than adequate for the 18R, giving plenty of torque off-road and hitting high speeds on the tarmac.

We drove the car just about everywhere we could—around the office, in the parking lot, on a small patch of dirt, and what we learned is that the car is an absolute riot to putt around. The car corners on a dime and accelerates very quickly.
