Bryce Menzies drives the Team Associated/RC10.COM truck to the podium in Surprise, Arizona!

Rounds 9 & 10 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) took place this time at the Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona. It was a warm but dry weekend that was kicked off with a 'Fan Appreciation Night' hosted by Quicks R/C and Buffalo Wild Wings. Quicks R/C built a cool demo track and Team Associated provided SC10s for the LOORRS fans and drivers to test their skills with. Associated's Ryan Maifield and Richard Saxton cruised by later to check out the action, taking a break from racing at the Nitro Cross. Quicks had a big raffle at the end of the night, giving away a bunch of prizes including two SC10 trucks. Everyone had a great time and the fans were stoked!

LOORRS round 9, Surprise, AZ

Saturday round 9 got off to a strong start with Team Associated/RC10.COM driver Jack Grabowski taking the win in Jr. Kart 1 and his brother Dustin winning Jr. Kart 2.

In the Unlimited Lite class it was the 'General' Brian Deegan taking the checkered flag whilst LOORRS points leader Rob 'Fig' Naughton's truck was plagued with a bad case of gremlins.

Bryce Menzies had a great weekend that began him winning the Unlimited 2 class followed by Carl Renezeder who was 1.496 seconds behind him and Jeff Ward coming in 3rd.

In Unlimited-4 it was a big win for the Team Associated/RC10.COM crew with 'Crandon' Carl Renezeder taking the checkered flag and his team mate Alan Pflueger coming in 2nd place. The big news was Bryce Menzies driving his AE 51 truck all the way from the back up to his first podium finish in U-4. It wasn't pretty but we are happy to take it!

After the races everyone headed down to the Nitro Pit for the big Team Associated celebrity race. Big AE truck racers Carl Renezeder, Travis Coyne, Bryce Menzies and Rob 'Fig' Naughton teamed up with their R/C counterparts Ryan Cavalieri, Ryan Maifield, Richard Saxton and Brent Thielke to battle it out on one of the nicest 1:8 scale tracks around. In the end it was the Bryce Menzies and Ryan Cavalieri team that would come out on top, winning bragging rights for the rest of the season. Bryce had no idea that he teamed up with the guy who would go on to win buggy and truggy the next day!

LOORRS round 10, Surprise, AZ

In the Jr. Kart 1 class it was Brock Heger that took the win with Myles Cheek and Riley Herbst coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Jr. Kart 2 saw Dustin Grabowski take the checkered flag with Chad Graham placing 2nd and Maxwell Ries coming in 3rd. In Modified Kart it was Connor Hart crossing the finish line first with Mitchell Dejong in 2nd and Sheldon Creed coming in to take 3rd place.

Round 10 Unlimited Lite saw Chris Bradnt, Brian Deegan and Todd Cuffaro finishing first, second and third respectively. Rob Naughton suffered some bad luck when he rolled his truck in the first turn but he managed to nurse it around to collect the ever-important series points.

The Unlimited 2 class was another big payday for Bryce Menzies as he rolled in for a repeat win with Kevin Probst coming in 2nd and Jeff Ward inching out Carl Renezeder for 3rd.

Unlimited 4 saw redemption for Adrian Cenni as he managed to hold off Carl Renezeder by half a truck length for the win in an intense nail bitter, while team mate Alan Pflueger took 3rd place.

It was another great weekend of intense off road action under the sun in Surprise! Be sure not to miss the next Lucas Off Road Racing Series event in Primm, Nevada November 14-15.
