The world-famous Jimmy Babcock Racing League (JBRL) kicked off its 2013 season at beautiful OC/RC Raceway in Huntington Beach, California over the weekend.  With over 300 entries for the one-day event and classes for all skill levels, racers were treated to a full day of racing action.

Team Associated/Reedy/LRP representatives were on hand to support customers throughout the event while competing in multiple classes.  Starting out the winning streak for Team Associated was TQ Jake Thayer and his Reedy/LRP-powered Factory Team RC8.2 eBuggy.  In the premier class of 2WD Modified, Steven Hartson proved to be the best of the best by taking the TQ and win with his LRP/Reedy-powered Factory Team B4.2.  Hartson again got the TQ and win in 2WD Modified Short Course with his Factory Team SC10.  In Truck Modified it was the Reedy/LRP-powered Factory Team T4.2 of Kody Numedahl that got the TQ and win for Team Associated.  Rounding out the modified classes, Jimmy Barnett and his Reedy/LRP-powered Factory Team B44.2 took the win in 4WD Modified.

Dropping down a classification to 2WD Super Stock (13.5) Nick Wautlet got the win with his Reedy/LRP-powered Factory Team B4.2, while OC/RC local Mike Squillace took the win in 2WD Stock (17.5), again with the Reedy/LRP/B4.2 combo.

Special thanks goes out to OC/RC Raceway for hosting a great event and to the JBRL crew for the smooth-running event.  Round two of the series is just a few weeks away on April 13 at SDRC Raceway in San Diego, CA.  See ya there!
