Jefferies Wins Tamworth Double Header!

On Saturday, Team Associated/Reedy factory driver Olly Jefferies narrowly missed the pole position in 10.5 Stock class qualifying. Although he was fastest in the early rounds, Olly eventually was displaced by David Spashett at the top of the time sheets. But in the main event, Olly took full advantage of an early Spashett mistake to move into the lead and take the win. Teammate Keith Robertson took the win from the pole position in the 13.5 Stock class to make it two wins for the Team Associated/Reedy team.

Olly has dominated the Modified class this season with two wins in two starts heading into the Tamworth round. Boosted with confidence from Saturday’s win, Olly claimed the pole position for the final ahead of a hard-charging David Spashett. A mistake by Spashett at the start gave Olly a comfortable lead that he never relinquished. Reedy driver Mark Stiles crossed the finish line in second, which solidified his position as a championship contender.

The series now heads to Crewe for round five where Olly seeks to continue his winning ways and extend his Modified class points lead.
