This past weekend, LSR hosted its first annual Winter Classics Off-Road race. LSR can be found just east of downtown Sacramento, California, and attracts racers from all over the central valley. Team Associated/Reedy drivers Chris Jarosz and Brian Strange were on hand to help customers with their Team Associated and Reedy products as well as compete in the 2WD Modified class with Jarosz also competing in 4WD Modified.

The race format was quite simple for a one-day race: three rocket-round IFMAR qualifiers followed by single six-minute mains. With a fresh track for the race, the third round of qualifying would be the fastest round as the clay-mix track started to groove up considerably. Jarosz went on to TQ the 2WD Modified class, being the only one to go the extra 17th lap as well as dip below the 18-second lap time with his Reedy-powered Factory Team B4.2 with Centro conversion. Strange placed his Centro-converted Factory Team B4.2 with Reedy power in the second spot on the grid. Also TQing 4WD was Jarosz with his Factory Team B44.2.

After a small break to set up the mains and raffle off a few Team Associated products, including a B4.2, the heads-up racing began. First up was 4WD Buggy where Sacramento-based racer Jarosz recovered from a second-lap crash to fight hard and take the overall win.

Next was up was 2WD Buggy for the Team Associated pilots. Jarosz led the race wire-to-wire to take the win while Strange took second position with a minute to go in a hard-fought battle. This gave the Team Associated/Reedy Centro converted B4.2s a 1-2 finish on the podium.
