Over the weekend of Nov. 14-15, Hotshots R/C hosted the 1st Annual Georgia Indoor Champs. The race attracted racers from TN, NC, SC, GA, and title sponsor JConcepts was on hand with drivers from FL. Brandon Melton spent practice time settling on a chassis/tire setup that would provide grip but also make the car easy to drive on the tight and technical track. The extra traction that developed throughout the event suited Melton's setup. In the 4WD Modified class, Melton started third on the grid and moved to second in the first couple of laps. A later mistake by Team Associated teammate andTQ, Daimon Borkowicz, allowed Melton to take the lead and not look back. Borkowicz and Max Flurer each made a charge throughout the race, but an easy-to-drive car proved key for Melton to stay mistake free for the win with his Reedy-powered B44.3.

The RC10B5M stood out as a grass-roots winner, as privateer Nicholas Klein was able to take the win in Sportsman buggy. Nicholas showed club-level racers that the B5M shines in all conditions for all talent levels.

The Hotshots crew did a great job and the Team looks forward to returning next year.
