Kyle McBride and RC8B3 -- FEMCA Champion!

Tuesday, Jun 16, 2015 at 12:00am UTC

Team Associated’s Kyle McBride piloted his brand new RC8B3 Team Kit to the F.E.M.C.A 1:8 Off-Road Buggy Championship in Australia in the vehicle's debut race.

FEMCA, the Far East Model Car Association, is the organization that qualifies drivers for the I.F.M.A.R. World Championships. The FEMCA bloc is composed of Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Setting the fastest pace in four of the six rounds of qualifying, McBride quickly got settled in to his new RC8B3. With qualifying concluded, McBride put in a solid run during the 30-minute semi to assure himself a pole position start for the 60-minute final. McBride came around to complete lap 1 like he was shot out of a cannon; immediately attaining a straight-a-way lead, he never looked back. Winning the final by over two laps, it’s fair to say that the new RC8B3 agreed with McBride.

Congratulations to Kyle, his father Scott, and the rest of his sponsors on a well-deserved championship!
