Club R/C, located in Houston, Texas, hosted their first annual Dash for Cash race. Tanner Denney made the trip from Arizona to represent Team Associated and JConcepts.

Tanner was in attendance racing his Team Associated RC10T5M Team Kit and RC10B5M Team Kit. With only one day of practice on the tricky Club R/C layout, Tanner had to be on point all weekend with his Team Associated rides. Along with only one day of practice, the organization also instituted four rounds of Rocket-round qualifying, which made things a little harder.

Denney went on to TQ every round of qualifying with his T5M, and go on to qualify second in 2WD Mod Buggy behind the former Reedy Race of Champions and National Champion Dustin Evans. In the mains, Denney was able to make it a perfect sweep in the Modified Truck class, winning every time he was on the track with his T5M. Domination!

In 2WD Buggy, Dustin Evans made Tanner work a little harder by winning A1, putting the pressure on Denney to win the next two mains to win the event. With that being said, the 19-year-old from Arizona was able to handle the pressure and win the next two main events and take the overall win in the prestigious 2WD Modified Buggy class!

The Dash For Cash event had teams set up for the money payout. The teams where picked by pairing the Top Qualifier of each class with the last place qualifier in the same class. Then the second-place qualifier was paired with the second-to-last qualifier, and so on. Tanner was not able to win the Team/ProAm event, but he was able to make new friends and fans in the process by giving his trophies and TQ plaque away to a young driver competing at the event, and in our eyes that's a win any day!

On behalf of Tanner Denney and Team Associated we want to thank Brandon and the crew at Club R/C for all the hard work and effort put into the event. We hope to see everyone at the races!

Thanks to Tanner Denney for this report.
