Zac Ryan submitted the following report:

The Queensland State Titles were held on May 18-21 at Logan City in Brisbane, Australia. A very technical layout was set for the next four days of hard racing to find out who would be taking away the title.

Thursday arrived and open practice started early. The moment I placed my RC10GT on the track I knew that I was in for a chance. The car simply felt easy to drive. I started with nearly a standard setup all round with a couple of minor changes and I was already 1.5 seconds ahead. The track was watered throughout the day so it was hard to see what tyres were working but by Friday it was obvious that M3 Holeshots all round were the winning combination.

Saturday began early with the start of qualifying. By this stage the track had produced an increasing blue groove line and my RC10GT was the only car to crack a 16-lap pace. I managed to steal all the five out of six qualifiers to take top qualifier, allowing for an easy start in the 45-minute A Main the following day.

Finals day crept up quickly and the start of the long Main was underway. In the first start I managed to get away cleanly but with computer issues we were back to the starting grid. The second start was not so successful and a misjudged berm line and a bit of carnage with third place sent me backwards in the pack. After twenty minutes I managed to get my way past everyone and back into the lead. My fellow AE driver Brad Young was flying in his GT and for fifteen minutes we battled for the lead. By the 45-minute buzzer I had managed to get a lap up on the field and darted across the line for my first Title win. You still can't beat a GT!
