The Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions showcases the best drivers in the World in an exciting and unique format. Invitational class drivers race head to head over 12 rounds while Open class drivers race 10-minute mains with bump-ups culminating in a double 10-minute final to determine the champion.

In the 2WD Open class, Reedy factory driver Chad Due claimed his first major victory by edging out teammate Brent Thielke in a tie-breaker. Due's finishing positions of 3-1 beat Thielke's score of 2-2 to earn an invitation to the prestigious Invitational class in 2013. Both drivers opted for an ultra smooth Sonic 7.5 motor and #736 Wolfpack 5000mAh 25C LiPo battery combo.

Taking full advantage of a Reedy #627 LiPo battery, Josh Numan started on pole and was never challenged during the 20 minutes of A-main competition in the 4wd Open class. The wire-to-wire victory meant that Numan will make the step up to Invitational in 2013. Rounding out the podium spots in 4WD Open were Reedy teammates and young guns Michael Schoettler and Rob Gillespie, Jr. Both drivers chose Reedy #627 LiPo batteries and Sonic 6.5 motors.

With this being the first Reedy Race after the passing of the race's namesake, Mike Reedy, emotions were running high and it was clear the racers were paying homage to the industry legend. With clean races and deserving champions, it's no doubt that Mike was smiling down on the event and enjoying the heated battles with joy and admiration.
