The 3rd Annual PRCRC Invitational took place over the weekend of March 3-4 in Clackmas, OR at the Portland R/C Raceway, home of many of top Pacific Northwest pros. Team Associated sent reigning World Champion Ryan Cavalieri and his B4.1 and T4.1 up to compete against some of the best the Northwest had to offer.

The Invitational class consisted of eight rounds of just 2WD Buggy and heads-up racing. Rules were similar to the Reedy International Off Road Race of Champions that features head-to-head racing, in contrast to I.F.M.A.R. qualifying and mains. With five victories and one second place finish in the eight rounds, Cavalieri was the clear-cut winner by three points over second place.

The Truck Modified class used the traditional I.F.M.A.R. qualifying system. Again Cavalieri and his T4.1 were the class of the field. Taking the Top Qualifying spot in all four rounds of qualifying and two victories in the triple A-mains, Cavalieri was crowned Truck Modified Champion as well.

Special thanks to the PRCR crew for a great event and to all the participants for a fun, relaxing weekend.
