Maifield Doubles at The Big One

In a few short weeks, Lost Creek R/C Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA will be the site of the ROAR 1:8 Off Road Nationals. This weekend they hosted their annual event entitled, The Big One. Racers used this event to test and prepare at the large track with hot and humid weather along with the opportunity to earn some cash.

Team Associated/Reedy/LRP driver Ryan Maifield was in attendance along with Jason Ruona of JConcepts and set the pace all weekend long. Taking the top qualifying position and win in both 1:8 Buggy and Truggy with this LRP-powered Team Associated RC8.2 and RC8T, Maifield looked comfortable at the LCRC facility. Not to be lost was the strong performance from Maifield's Team Associated teammate, Gunnar Rieck. A podium finish of third behind Bill Easton, who got second in 1:8 Buggy, is impressive for the New Jersey driver.
