Gunnar Wins Buggy in the R.O.A.R. Region 2 Mid Atlantic Series!

The 2012 R.O.A.R. Region 2 Mid Atlantic Series consisted of five races spread over six months, kicking off just before Easter at Awesome RC in Fredericksburg Virginia, with the series finale taking place this past weekend at LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, Pennsylvania.

The series scored your best four finishes, allowing one drop for your lowest place. Gunnar Rieck and his wrench (dad) were only able to attend four of the races, so they had to make each one count!
 
Gunnar Rieck's Associated FT RC8.2 in Buggy TQ'd two events while winning ALL four rounds for a perfect score to lock in the Championship title!
 
Gunnar's Associated FT RC8TCE in Truggy saw a similar occurrence, where Gunnar TQ'd three of the rounds, winning two of them, and finishing second in round 3. However, while leading the 30-minute final A Main, he suffered a clutch bell bearing failure because dad forgot to change them before the main. 

This placed Gunnar in last place for the final A Main, leaving him second in the series, just four points out of a double championship.
