I like off road most of the time because you can drive T3's and GT's all over with no problems. If you want to drive on a road change your tires and suspension. On road cars like the NTC3 are fun to have but most bashers like off road.

off road, I think driving is more amusing than on road driving. Also, off-road is cheaper and the hands are more important than batteries or motors.

I personally prefer offroad over onroad. I like the jumps, the dirt, and all that goes with it. Onroad is cool too, I like the fact that it takes more fine tuning in onroad to get you ahead, where offroad sometimes is point and shoot. I guess they both have their ups and downs.

I prefer off road mainly for its complexity, In addition to everything you have to do in every other form of r/c, you have to learn to adapt to the ever changing track conditions and you have to be able to negotiate jumps. And I prefer outdoor tracks most.

I prefer off road. The reason is the racers seem to be more relaxed about racing off road than on road. Plus on road has the constant expense of tires. Just a little hit from behind and you crash. With off road its not as easy for the guy behind you to spin you out. Oval just a mistake or two and your race is over. I have started racing Monster Trucks because I needed another truck when I returned to the states from last overseas tour. I couldn't see buying another T3 when the T4 was so close to coming out. So I ended up buy a MT and I love that. Still will get a T4 when they come available.

I prefer off road. I own a factory team GT, b3, t3, and tc3. When I go off road, the track is always different, making it a challenge and a fun one most of the times. When i switch to on road, its set one way and that's how it is. Most of all everyone knows the track and just does not challenge me.

Off road. Why? Because, being a basher myself, off road RCs allow you to drive nearly anywhere, where as on-roads make you stick to the street, which isn't always as fun, at least to me. Plus, off-roaders are easier to drive.

off road! the cars are more attractive, you get to see the wheels and suspension at work, driving on natural terrain like grass and dirt is also more satisfying than man made tarmac tracks! you can slide the cars about, jump them, etc and still be fast! off road is also the original RC.

I race my GT on street and drive it off road. street is fun cause you can race on a closed track that has good traction and you can really dig into the corners but I like to drive off road cause you have no limits and dirt does less damage than cement. and with dirt you can have massive natural jumps and drive over most anything that your car will let you. today i set up a 2 foot tall ramp at 60 degrees and ramped off of it. my GT got about 6 feet about 10 times in a row. then we decided to make it steeper. my car launched really high and far and broke the rear shock tower and I'm having trouble finding a new one.

Off road cars and trucks have the ability to be driven anywhere which is a big plus.
On road for the power and handling characteristics of a real car, and a little more finesse is required.

I have raced Off Road for quite some time and have only recently begun the oval racing. I must say that Oval is as competitive and fun but less expensive overall based on the lack of broken parts thus far. I still enjoy the jumps and challenges of offroad but oval is so easy on my cars. If I must choose though it is Off Road. You can't beat the jumps.

I Prefer off-road because I think that there is an added challenge when going over jumps and bumps to keep the car under control, I also think that off-road racing is a greater challenge because the track surfaces vary more than in other forms of racing, and you have to adjust to the track conditions. I also think that it is better to buy an off-road vehicle because if you can't make it to the track, you can always just do some backyard bashin'.

I can't make up my mind. Both are just as much fun as the other. If you want to beat the hell out of your machine, take your off-road car. If you want blistering speed and razor-sharp cornering, grab the on-road car.

OFF-ROAD: Racing is more fun in 3 dimensions, and as a buddy once suggested, on-road is like off-road without the challenge

Off road; the track isn't totally perfect like it is for on road. There are jumps and turns everywhere so it is harder to drive because you have to do more to get the car where you want it to go.

I am not sure of which I like the best because there are no race tracks near me to do some experimenting. I did however have had these cars RC10, RC10 Graphite, RC10L, RC10B2, RC10T2,out of these it is obvious that I like Off-Road, But with no tracks it is now hard to say with all the diff. cars there are to chose from.

I would rate Oval as my Fav with road racing a close 2nd. The reason was In Oval it seemed to always be competitive, even if you were a lap or 2 down or a lap or 2 ahead, You were always in close enough contact with someone else and planning a pass. I also like that with the onroad type cars you don't have to deal with a ever changing dirt track. I currently only run offroad because we have No permanent onroad track in my area. Ya Got to race what You got to race !!

I like off road the best because i have done it the most. I would like to get into on road touring cars. I think just going around and around and around in circles on an oval track is as boring as a Woody Allen movie.

The cost is more justifiable, Not a new version of the every year. Simple, fast, quick responses,
setup is more critical

I prefer off road because that platform is most versatile. If you want, you can slap on some street slicks and run it on the street for practice. Or, if you want, you can put on some big monster mashers and go trekking through the mud. Either way, you get plenty of speed, and there's nothing like a fresh coat of mud on your T3 after taking it outside after the rain.

I prefer offroad. It is where I started. I honed my driving skills sliding in the dirt and landing doubles. I guess it just sits deeper in my heart. It have tried onroad a few years back with some pan cars. They sure are fast, but I need some air time.

I prefer two setup, off-road and on-road setup. I personally want an R/C kit that could tackle the humps and bumps of off-road situation and also tackle the high speed setup of on-road situation like rally cars...

I am sorry I have to admit I have a XXXKE, but have to say the B4 looks awesome when I returned to rc I wasn't considering anything else than a Losi because my first racer was a JRX2 and I loved it
but i did try a B3 a friend had and found the Losi easier for me to drive fast but I haven't tried the B4 which looks like it runs as good or better

ON ROAD ALL THE WAY. It's fast, it's smooth, and setup is very important and key to being fast. And usually you can hammer down on the throttle and go nuts!

ON-ROAD

For me it is both the higher level of scale representation of real GT and Touring cars as well as the technology with on-road rc that continues to strive for better ways to keep a car stuck to the pavement while increasing their drivable speeds. Additionally, I think there is so much potential for on-road rc in terms of chassis and engine development (especially electric) that reflects full size racing technology like traction control, dynamic suspension, real-time performance data etc.

Finally, I applaud Cliff on his speed record pursuits with electric rc on-roads. I never knew that 111mph and beyond was possible at that scale with batteries. I has changed my perception that nitro is the only solution for 1/10 scale speed and I like the idea of doing it with an environmentally clean power source. That's exciting to me and increases my interest in the hobby.

On Road

It occurred to me that on-road rc appeals to my love of real road racing and inspires my imagination more than off-road rc. Not to take anything from off-road, but to me it just seems less realistic and more toy like having cars jumping around like motocross bikes. With on-road I can practically duplicate the appearance of a real racing car and let my imagination flow as it is probably the closest I can get to the real thing right now. Better than Grand Turismo 1,2,3,4 etc. But to further illustrate the point, one can look at how well that particular on-road game title has done and see that it also appeals to the GT motorsport crowds imagination of driving a real race car. Perhaps the next thing in rc is a merging of both virtual worlds of racing - scale road models linked with 3-D animation. That already has my imagination going...

Off Road is more exciting because of jumps. And its more of a contact sport. I started racing on road and made the switch a few months later.

I would have to say off road, reason being is because off road has more to offer it makes running a little more challenging than to just run on an on road course. For example: you have straightaways, hills, banks, platforms etc. You also get to throw up some dirt and catch so serious air.

I prefer on road because of the speed @ The exotic shells you can get. I don't know for sure but I think they are about the same price- it depending on the model. On road is broad on the street to where you can do an oval race move a few cones and have a touring race, a few more moved cones and you have a drag strip. I prefer off-road and on road the most. I like off road because of the jumps and the dirt and all that good stuff, but I also like on road because you car stays cleaner and you tend to break less because you usually don't send you car 4 feet in the air, but if you do (which I've seen happen), it usually doesn't have a good ending. I'm sure oval would be fun because I've grown to like it more over the past weeks just because I forced my self to watch it. And I'm sure that driving a 1/10 2wd oval car with 6 cells and a 10 turn would be a blast. Some reasons I like on road more than off road is because since the track condition generally stays the same during the duration of a race, there is less luck involved because there's no chance that you will catch a rut and flip over because the rut wasn't there a few laps before. But that's also part of the fun of off road. So I guess that I like all types of racing.
