*************************************
I like off road most of the time because you can drive T3's and GT's all over
with no problems. If you want to drive on a road change your tires and
suspension. On road cars like the NTC3 are fun to have but most bashers like off
road.
*************************************
Off Road...
You can drive anywhere...
More fun to drive.
*************************************
Onroad: It's faster. It's cleaner. And it's easier to relate them to real race
cars.
*************************************
I race oval and enjoy it the most. I race
a rc500 in Cleveland,OH . I am currently
the point leader. Still love beating them DELTA
*************************************
off road, I think driving is more amusing than on road driving. Also, off-road
is cheaper and the hands are more important than batteries or motors.
*************************************
I personally prefer offroad over onroad. I like the jumps, the dirt, and all
that goes with it. Onroad is cool too, I like the fact that it takes more fine
tuning in onroad to get you ahead, where offroad sometimes is point and shoot. I
guess they both have their ups and downs.
*************************************
Offroad for sure because you can go onroad with the offroads but you cannot go
offroad with the onroad cars. I hope you understand
*************************************
I will always go where there is a fun, competitive atmosphere. I will race
Offroad, Onroad, or Oval if it is fun.
*************************************
Off road because it is so much more unpredictable.
*************************************
I prefer Off Road, because of the Jumps. It adds a whole new dimension to
racing, other than just turning and picking the best line.
*************************************
off road, because of its rage at running all around, and because of the jumps
and cool look
*************************************
offroad because its more about the driving skill and setup, and onroad & oval is
more about the stuff you have
*************************************
Off road and On road, because off road is just plain cool, you can go fast on
dirt, through mud, sand, and kick up big rooster tails. On road because of the
super high speed and because all of the bodies available for on road vehicles
*************************************
on road...can run indoors, more technical, popular in my area
*************************************
I prefer off-road but not the huge monster trucks just the stadium truck types,
b/c the are most versatile on or off road.
*************************************
I prefer off road mainly for its complexity, In addition to everything you have
to do in every other form of r/c, you have to learn to adapt to the ever
changing track conditions and you have to be able to negotiate jumps. And I
prefer outdoor tracks most.
*************************************
off road because it is much funnier and you can do jumps and do drifts in the
dirt and still get speed.
*************************************
on road because I like sports cars and u don't use them on the dirt u use them
on the street i also like imports
*************************************
on road to me is more challenging
*************************************
I prefer off road. The reason is the racers seem to be more relaxed about racing
off road than on road. Plus on road has the constant expense of tires. Just a
little hit from behind and you crash. With off road its not as easy for the guy
behind you to spin you out. Oval just a mistake or two and your race is over. I
have started racing Monster Trucks because I needed another truck when I
returned to the states from last overseas tour. I couldn't see buying another T3
when the T4 was so close to coming out. So I ended up buy a MT and I love that.
Still will get a T4 when they come available.
Jeff Hopkins
*************************************
off road because your buggy/truck jumps and you get to master the attitude of
your vehicle in the air (applying brakes/throttle)
*************************************
I prefer off road, because it is more forgiving.
*************************************
Off-Rod, I find it so funny
*************************************
I prefer off road, because it is some thing that you can have for fun with,
unlike on road you are classed as a higher skilled racer if you can master the
dirt bashers
*************************************
Off road
Simply I drove too more fast off-road than on-road...
*************************************
Off Road, its fun getting dirty
*************************************
I prefer off road. I own a factory team GT, b3, t3, and tc3. When I go off road,
the track is always different, making it a challenge and a fun one most of the
times. When i switch to on road, its set one way and that's how it is. Most of
all everyone knows the track and just does not challenge me.
*************************************
For different reasons... EVERYTHING! after 20 years of R/C (from the rc12i,
1983) I still enjoy it like the first week!!
*************************************
I prefer on road because the cars looks nicer cooler faster more real it the
best out of all
*************************************
On Road. High speed racing.... slamming into sideboards.... Mmmmmmmm!
*************************************
I prefer off road. It is fun to be able to tear up a track and see dirt and
debrie fly almost as much as seeing my truck fly.
*************************************
I prefer off road because I like it when the cars get dirty.
*************************************
Offroad:
The racing is way more relaxed than with touring and you can still do well by
being a good driver, your stuff (motors, batteries) doesn't matter as much as
with touring.
We have no Oval racing over here, so I don't know
*************************************
Off road. I've gotta get air. Big air with well controlled landings is the best
part of RC car racing.
*************************************
I prefer on road because higher speeds can be reached than off road. On road is
just more fun!
*************************************
I prefer off road buggies because my rc 10 world championship ed. buggy from
over 10 years ago still kicks your newer models BUTTS! your plastic cheap hi
tech frames are weak. the older frame was much more durable thank you old school
*************************************
Off road. Why? Because, being a basher myself, off road RCs allow you to drive
nearly anywhere, where as on-roads make you stick to the street, which isn't
always as fun, at least to me. Plus, off-roaders are easier to drive.
*************************************
Onroad/Offroad, because they can be used on both surfaces without wrecking
tires, parts etc.
*************************************
off road! the cars are more attractive, you get to see the wheels and suspension
at work, driving on natural terrain like grass and dirt is also more satisfying
than man made tarmac tracks! you can slide the cars about, jump them, etc and
still be fast! off road is also the original RC.
*************************************
I like off road better because you can go any where you want to.
*************************************
off road. driving is harder and and having to tune the suspension to jump, turn,
slide etc. makes it much more fun.
*************************************
offroad because I have a rc10gt and does better on offroad then onroad.
*************************************
Off-road!! no wait On-road!! no wait Oval? no wait that sucks!! Nitro Off-road
in the summer with the occasional nitro on-road to mix things up followed with
electric on-road carpet in the winter when it gets to cold to run outside. yeah
that's it!
*************************************
Off road, Sure it's dirty and you need more upkeep. But it is more fun than
going around in circles. And onroad is more technical. With the jumps and close
racing, You can't beat it.
*************************************
i prefer on road because its easier to deal with and a lot quieter than the
other options. On road is what I would pick but there is no wrong answer cuz its
ur decision I choose on road cuz that the type that I like better.
*************************************
off and on. I race my GT on street and drive it off road. street is fun cause
you can race on a closed track that has good traction and you can really dig
into the corners but I like to drive off road cause you have no limits and dirt
does less damage than cement. and with dirt you can have massive natural jumps
and drive over most anything that your car will let you. today i set up a 2 foot
tall ramp at 60 degrees and ramped off of it. my GT got about 6 feet about 10
times in a row. then we decided to make it steeper. my car launched really high
and far and broke the rear shock tower and I'm having trouble finding a new one.
*************************************
offroad it's fun and can handle beatings
*************************************
I like to use both.
Off road cars and trucks have the ability to be driven anywhere which is a big
plus.
On road for the power and handling characteristics of a real car, and a little
more finesse is required.
*************************************
Actually I like them all. I enjoy off-road for the fast pace action and jumps. I
like on-road for the technical turning. And I like oval because of the speed.
*************************************
offroad, because you have ramps
*************************************
off road, its the only way to have fun, if own a nitro.
*************************************
off road.
no need a track, I can run my car where I want when I want.
*************************************
off road
its a little more forgiving on tires and your setup isnt so critical
*************************************
off road because I've raced dirt for over thirty yrs.
*************************************
on road. I like 12th scale the best because the races are 8 minutes and the cars
are simple.
they are as fast as touring cars but easier to work on and 4 cell is cheaper
too.
*************************************
I have raced Off Road for quite some time and have only recently begun the oval
racing. I must say that Oval is as competitive and fun but less expensive
overall based on the lack of broken parts thus far. I still enjoy the jumps and
challenges of offroad but oval is so easy on my cars. If I must choose though it
is Off Road. You can't beat the jumps.
*************************************
off road because when I'm at home and there isn't any dirt areas around I can
take it out on the street and mess around but with onroad your limited to just
the street
*************************************
I Prefer off-road because I think that there is an added challenge when going
over jumps and bumps to keep the car under control, I also think that off-road
racing is a greater challenge because the track surfaces vary more than in other
forms of racing, and you have to adjust to the track conditions. I also think
that it is better to buy an off-road vehicle because if you can't make it to the
track, you can always just do some backyard bashin'.
*************************************
I can't make up my mind. Both are just as much fun as the other. If you want to
beat the hell out of your machine, take your off-road car. If you want
blistering speed and razor-sharp cornering, grab the on-road car.
*************************************
OFF-ROAD: Racing is more fun in 3 dimensions, and as a buddy once suggested,
on-road is like off-road without the challenge
*************************************
Off road; the track isn't totally perfect like it is for on road. There are
jumps and turns everywhere so it is harder to drive because you have to do more
to get the car where you want it to go.
*************************************
I am not sure of which I like the best because there are no race tracks near me
to do some experimenting. I did however have had these cars RC10, RC10 Graphite,
RC10L, RC10B2, RC10T2,out of these it is obvious that I like Off-Road, But with
no tracks it is now hard to say with all the diff. cars there are to chose from.
*************************************
I prefer off road, because the courses have a less predictable surface, however,
I am about to buy a TC3 to race as well as my B3
*************************************
I prefer off road, as it creates for much more excitement, and it shows off the
drivers talent more than the car's.
*************************************
I prefer off road because then you can use them for both on road and off road
racing
*************************************
I prefer On-road because the racing comes down to the driver who can setup and
drive to make the fast lap times.
*************************************
I would rate Oval as my Fav with road racing a close 2nd. The reason was In Oval
it seemed to always be competitive, even if you were a lap or 2 down or a lap or
2 ahead, You were always in close enough contact with someone else and planning
a pass. I also like that with the onroad type cars you don't have to deal with a
ever changing dirt track. I currently only run offroad because we have No
permanent onroad track in my area. Ya Got to race what You got to race !!
*************************************
on road because it is .... amazing
*************************************
I like both , sorry , I have been into this kind of fun since the dark ages AE
rules!!!!
The faster the better, the bigger the better, can't wait for the MONSTER!!!!!
GONNA STOMP THE MAXX YAH!!
*************************************
Off road. i love testing all the abilities of my cars such as suspension,
engines power, and durability. and there is nothing like the excitement of
flying off dirt jumps and hitting the track!
*************************************
I like off road the best because i have done it the most. I would like to get
into on road touring cars. I think just going around and around and around in
circles on an oval track is as boring as a Woody Allen movie.
*************************************
Oval
The cost is more justifiable, Not a new version of the every year. Simple, fast,
quick responses,
setup is more critical
*************************************
I prefer off road because that platform is most versatile. If you want, you can
slap on some street slicks and run it on the street for practice. Or, if you
want, you can put on some big monster mashers and go trekking through the mud.
Either way, you get plenty of speed, and there's nothing like a fresh coat of
mud on your T3 after taking it outside after the rain.
*************************************
Off road , because there is more unpredictability in the surface which you need
to combine skill with speed !
*************************************
I prefer offroad for the simple reason you can run them anywhere
*************************************
Off road so u can go mudding ,and jump!!
THANKS TEAM ASSOCIATED!!!
*************************************
I prefer off road.
I think model cars are meant to be fun and nothing beats double or triple jumps
and rooster tails. Although I must admit that 1/8 scale on road is addictive if
expensive.
*************************************
I prefer offroad because of the jumps the big air and the competition
*************************************
Offroad. It's a blast. It's never the same 2 laps in a row. I own 3 T3's and
both of my kids are loving it also.
*************************************
I prefer Off-Road. Number one i would rather race on road but since i live in
Arkansas there is not enough onroad tracks and onroad track supporters to have a
decent on road track so I prefer off road electric buggies. Go B4
*************************************
offroad because you can jump high and crash very badly like when my T3 did
barrel rolls 2 feet in the air
*************************************
I prefer offroad. It is where I started. I honed my driving skills sliding in
the dirt and landing doubles. I guess it just sits deeper in my heart. It have
tried onroad a few years back with some pan cars. They sure are fast, but I need
some air time.
RLane
*************************************
I Prefer off road because its much more fun! lets face it do you prefer a car
going round corners well to be the highlight of the event, or to see who can do
the highest jump? i know my answer.
*************************************
Off road, we only have 1 off road track within 50 miles. No on road/ no oval, so
I race off road stock truck and buggy.
Thanks
*************************************
I prefer two setup, off-road and on-road setup. I personally want an R/C kit
that could tackle the humps and bumps of off-road situation and also tackle the
high speed setup of on-road situation like rally cars...
-alwyn, philippines
*************************************
off road because of the jumps and slides
*************************************
Oval.. It is way much challenging then any other racing. those how don't believe
it try it.
*************************************
On road, Shear speed:>,realism. more tuning.
I race the NTC3 at foam nationals in the UK and even though its mainly designed
for rubber, it kicks arse in foam :>
*************************************
I prefer off road because you can always find a good are near you. with oval or
street you need a road or a track to have fun.
*************************************
I mainly prefer nitro oval. that's when I can put my sirio .12 to the test
*************************************
off road: because for me it's just more exciting, it's what got me into the
sport over 10 year's ago and what made me come back for more just a little over
a year ago. I am sorry I have to admit I have a XXXKE, but have to say the B4
looks awesome when I returned to rc I wasn't considering anything else than a
Losi because my first racer was a JRX2 and I loved it
but i did try a B3 a friend had and found the Losi easier for me to drive fast
but I haven't tried the B4 which looks like it runs as good or better
*************************************
off road, cuz I can experience on road racing in my real sports car. Off roading
in my 4x4 would end up a whole lot more expensive of a hobby than with an RC!
*************************************
ON ROAD IS COOL FOR THE SPEED, HOWEVER THE OVER ALL OFF ROAD IS BETTER BECAUSE
YOU CAN CRASH THE RC10GT AND KEEP GOING.
*************************************
On-Road. I have always liked full-size road racing. R/C road racing is cleaner.
Off-road is a close second to On-Road... very fun. I have no interest in oval
racing.
*************************************
on road because you have to be precise to be fast and the fact that I never ran
oval or off road
*************************************
ON ROAD ALL THE WAY. It's fast, it's smooth, and setup is very important and key
to being fast. And usually you can hammer down on the throttle and go nuts!
*************************************
ON-ROAD
For me it is both the higher level of scale representation of real GT and
Touring cars as well as the technology with on-road rc that continues to strive
for better ways to keep a car stuck to the pavement while increasing their
drivable speeds. Additionally, I think there is so much potential for on-road rc
in terms of chassis and engine development (especially electric) that reflects
full size racing technology like traction control, dynamic suspension, real-time
performance data etc.
Finally, I applaud Cliff on his speed record pursuits with electric rc on-roads.
I never knew that 111mph and beyond was possible at that scale with batteries. I
has changed my perception that nitro is the only solution for 1/10 scale speed
and I like the idea of doing it with an environmentally clean power source.
That's exciting to me and increases my interest in the hobby.
*************************************
On Road
It occurred to me that on-road rc appeals to my love of real road racing and
inspires my imagination more than off-road rc. Not to take anything from
off-road, but to me it just seems less realistic and more toy like having cars
jumping around like motocross bikes. With on-road I can practically duplicate
the appearance of a real racing car and let my imagination flow as it is
probably the closest I can get to the real thing right now. Better than Grand
Turismo 1,2,3,4 etc. But to further illustrate the point, one can look at how
well that particular on-road game title has done and see that it also appeals to
the GT motorsport crowds imagination of driving a real race car. Perhaps the
next thing in rc is a merging of both virtual worlds of racing - scale road
models linked with 3-D animation. That already has my imagination going...
*************************************
off-road more demanding of driver and setup skills more exciting to watch
*************************************
off road jumping
*************************************
Off Road is more exciting because of jumps. And its more of a contact sport. I
started racing on road and made the switch a few months later.
*************************************
I would have to say off road, reason being is because off road has more to offer
it makes running a little more challenging than to just run on an on road
course. For example: you have straightaways, hills, banks, platforms etc. You
also get to throw up some dirt and catch so serious air.
*************************************
I prefer on road because of the speed @ The exotic shells you can get. I don't
know for sure but I think they are about the same price- it depending on the
model. On road is broad on the street to where you can do an oval race move a
few cones and have a touring race, a few more moved cones and you have a drag
strip. Thanks for reading this and sorry if it doesn't make any sense I just
woke up!!!!
*************************************
On-road touring car: easy to setup, easy to clean, don't go through lots of rear
tires like off-road
*************************************
I have both, but I would have to say I like off road better. There's nothing
like watching your car fly through the air. Although what would be even more
fun, would be rally X. Then you got the best of both worlds.
*************************************
I prefer off road because were I live your back yard your front yard is all
dirt. and its cool because I can build dirt jumps for my rc car and watch them
fly
*************************************
Off Road(Rc10GTPlus) because you can take it on road too and i hate oval
*************************************
because you can drive it off road
and we have dirt
*************************************
dirt oval is the BOMB!!! action every lap, traffic everywhere, handling is key,
driver ability a must, laps under 6.5 sec. in 100ft.
darrel
*************************************
off road and on road just because i have a nice driveway for onroad and a nice
yard for off road. I can't really take an oval out anywhere so I don't know
about oval.
*************************************
off road because there are no limits
*************************************
I prefer offroad over oval and on road because going really fast in a circle is
boring, and on road sux because the track is flat, I like jumping my RC10GT now
that's the life
*************************************
I can build it and I like off road
*************************************
On Road, because of the high speeds, high traction and close racing that just
isn't possible with offroad. Oval is just too boring!!
*************************************
I prefer off road cause they may get dirty but it is all about the jumps
*************************************
off road is a lot better.. more exiting....
*************************************
I prefer off-road and on road the most. I like off road because of the jumps and
the dirt and all that good stuff, but I also like on road because you car stays
cleaner and you tend to break less because you usually don't send you car 4 feet
in the air, but if you do (which I've seen happen), it usually doesn't have a
good ending. I'm sure oval would be fun because I've grown to like it more over
the past weeks just because I forced my self to watch it. And I'm sure that
driving a 1/10 2wd oval car with 6 cells and a 10 turn would be a blast. Some
reasons I like on road more than off road is because since the track condition
generally stays the same during the duration of a race, there is less luck
involved because there's no chance that you will catch a rut and flip over
because the rut wasn't there a few laps before. But that's also part of the fun
of off road. So I guess that I like all types of racing.
*************************************
I drive both on road and off road but, I prefer off road because of the jumps
and the powerslides.
