I prefer electrics for various reasons including the fact that they are clean, always work, can be run indoors, silent and plenty fast.
I prefer electric over nitro. Mostly because I can't trust myself around too many flammable substances.
I always liked electric, fast, fun and can run indoors. Then I bought your RTR RC10GT and I'm hooked. Truly the most fun I've had with a rc car/truck. Faster with more torque and options make it more fun to upgrade and change. Plus no batteries to charge, just add more fuel and go.
I prefer both because with electric its just go anywhere anytime. Since all ya gots to do is charge up the batteries
electric because you can still get them going faster than the nitro and they are cheaper

I prefer electric, it's faster, quieter and easier to work on. I had a GT for about 8 months and fought with it all the time to keep the engine running well. Traded it for an electric TC3 and have never been happier :) great products guys
Electric, easy, don't smell, don't make noise, and is a lot cleaner that nitro..sad about the charging time though

Electric, With the new Brushless motors and battery technology why run nitro when you can get close to the same performance without the hassle of nitro, Battery technology is making huge advancements everyday, soon 8000 milamp batteries will be the norm.30min run times or more will happen, then nitro will be behind electric.

I prefer nitro cars because they go a lot faster, and they look a lot cooler. For monster trucks i prefer electric because you can rock crawl better and they are easier to maintain and when you flip they don't shut off and not work for a half hour!
Nitro - you can get up and go and not have to wait 45 min for batts to charge. I have both and know the pros and cons of both, but if i had to lose one, it would be electric. Nitro is just awesome.
Nitro, no recharging batteries, faster top speed, more tuning possibilities, more noise, more fun.
I prefer electric, because the level of competition at my track is much higher in electric. because most nitro guys just drool over their noisy engines, and have no clue how to drive. but they sound cool! yea if you could only drive them!

Electric, due to being able to race at indoor venues, which is where a lot of the UK clubs are run, also due to them being quieter and hence not having problems running them without people making a fuss about the noise
I'll admit nitro is better in terms of racing performance, but I'm sticking with electric for now because my yard is small and the neighbors would probably mind, and the track I race at is all indoor. They tried putting fans in the doorways and running four trucks at a time, but it still sucked. -TheMissile

electric, nitro is too messy and if that nitro engine don't feel like running there is nothing more frustrating. electric just works!!!
I prefer electric because you can use them all year round. It is damaging to run your r/c car in the snow so you need an indoor track to race at. Not many places allow indoor nitro racing because of the fumes. I do know if indoor offroad tracks where people race electric buggies and stadium trucks on packed clay. Or you can pull out the tc3 and do some carpet racing. So to keep your hobby going all year I would say Electric is better. Jeff from Warren, MI
Gas...Because they can run for days as long as you have the fuel...Also the sound makes it more authentic...

Electric, because they are very fast on the track. Less hassle and more fun than nitro. Plus if your bashing you can carry the truck around with you, no need to repeatedly start the engine. Nitro is still fun though, and I enjoy it almost as much as electric.
N_I_T_R_O !!!!!! I cant take electric. Too much messing around with chargers/dischargers/batt. matching etc.
nitro, for the speed and realism, but it has it's downfalls-more maintenance, more dirt, can be more finicky, electric is easier to run, better for beginners , but I'll take nitro any day.

Nitro, realism, good training tool for the kids...most engines are 2 stroke but similar to 4 stroke. No problem with batteries.

I prefer electric because it's cleaner, quieter, and requires less maintenance. I also like the shorter races. Every turn is critical in a 5 minute race. And with electric, I can be up and running with a new car immediately upon completing my build. Also, storing and electric engine is no big deal, while a nitro engine requires some major maintenance to safely store.

Nitro because gas can start on fire
electric its faster, cleaner, quieter and safer. it takes too long to run a race program because of gas having to warm up. the guys in the pits with nitro cars will be tuning there motors while you're trying to run a race and you cant hear the announcer calling your race. they also leave a oily gas mess on the pit tables. it's like sitting next smokers in a restaurant. i refuse to turn marshal a gas race due to all the hot parts.
i prefer nitro. the smell , noise , and speed. my 1st nitro was the 1st rc10gt version. I loved how it powered its way through the turf compared to electrics.
I prefer electric because of its ease of driving, and the fact that it's easier to tune. Electric is also good because it doesn't piss off the the neighbors as much! Don't get me wrong, I lone my nitro truck, but I've put through so much, that it finally went "kaputz." My first "real" rc was my nitro, and it was awesome. I still have to go with electric, though. Electric as the maintenance time is a lot less. I own both a GT and a T4. The T4 takes about 15 to twenty minutes to clean and inspect after a race night the GT is 45 min to an hour. I also seam to brake less parts on the electric.
I prefer Nitro because it's more realistic, I like the raw speed, and the fact that you can run for hours without charging batteries.
Electric. Nitro cars are to expensive to run because gas costs and can catch on fire in a crash.
Nitro, because I hate waiting for my batteries to charge.
ELECTRIC!!! I started with electric in '86 with an RC10. I like electric because it is clean and easy to work on and test in my home. No nitro smell in the house makes my wife happy. And you all know if your wife is happy, you get to buy more RC stuff!!
I must say this is very hard to answer for someone who owns both.. I have to give the edge to electric as it means far less maintenance required.. But I love the smell of fresh nitro burning in the air...

I'm 50/50. I run 2 nitro boats at a local pond, which I love to death, and I run 2 electric off road buggies at an indoor track.
I prefer electric due to the ease of maintenance and cleanliness. Although electric is not cheaper by any means, I feel that electric suits me best.

I am currently racing electric, because I enjoy the convenience and think that it is just as competitive as nitro. However, if you're a gearhead, nitro is probably for you, because of the more complex mechanics. These more complex mechanics also make it harder for beginners to start out in nitro.

I prefer nitro, I just love the sound the smell and oh yeah the extra power could be a good thing too.
nitro. because it is a lot more fun and it is a good experience. You also learn a lot more with a nitro care/truck.
NITRO! because it smells good, sounds good, and its a lot faster. the people that say nitro takes too much maintenance are a bunch of LAZY BUMS! it attracts a crowd and it also has raw SPEED BABEY SPEED,YA!
Nitro...the sounds...the smell...the speed... It's more like real racing.
Electric, I can turn a faster lap time on our track with a stock motor, than the local hot shot nitro guy. The competition is in the expert stock class at my track, if the competition was in the expert nitro class then I might change my tune.
Electric is old school, and nitro is the new. Nitro is gets rid of the shade tree orerator. To me Nitro is the way to go!
I personally like electric do to the fact the motors are cheaper to replace than a gas motor
I prefer nitro, as it is cheaper to run (i run an 1/8th scale rally x'er) but I race at national level in the UK a B4!
hi I'm falcon and I prefer nitro because i like to work on the engine and upgrade the engine to a better racing car i race with gnrdd (generation nitro racing dare devils),
nitro of course.. have ran and messed with electrics for quite a while, and for some instances are pretty cool.. once I ran a friends nitro buggy and heard, then smelled, then grinned madly I was hooked.. electrics are great for young minds and hands that are not up to the maintenance chores of a nitro vehicle, but once that obstacle is mastered there's nothing like nitro for realism and power.. run the things till ur out of fuel, or break something u just don't have in ur spare parts stock. no waiting for batteries to charge, and just plain and simple more fun..
electric. quiet, dependable, I hate 2 cycles. even my weed eater and blower are electric!

Nitro. The difference in speed and power cannot be denied. The RC10GT is still the best Nitro RC 1/10 scale car after how many years? Pure dominance of the market. I set the world's record for distance jumping with a modified RC10GT. Love the car, but want more!

electric, they are easier to keep up in shape, they are quieter, ore places to race.
I prefer electric because there are more tracks available to run on. If the were more local tracks for off-road nitro I would totally run nitro.
I prefer nitro, because i like the thrill of high speed racing! Also there isn't a variety of performance parts for electric cars.

Nitro for the summer time. For the power and the smell.
Electric is much more reliable and clean. You can also run electric indoors, which is a major advantage when you live in a "snowy" climate. The noise and smell and speed of nitro is fun, but engines stall too easily and it is messy.
I do not like gas because there is more to work on and more of a mess.

Especially these days with transmissions capable of reverse and multi-speeds getting more reliable, I put the electrics up on the shelf!

electric because you can go inside or outside with a nitro truck/car you can only run then inside if it is well vented

I like both nitro or electric but electric seem to cost more in the long run. I say both.
I prefer nitro because they run much more fast than the electric ones and their service is much more fun.
Nitro: less prep time to run them and the sound, nitro, smell make them more real.
the whole plug it in and go idea really appeals to me, and with nitros, you have to charge batteries anyway right?

electric I prefer electric for it's ease of use, minimal clean up, and overall fun factor. It is my humble opinion that nitro is loud, and people love it because it is an attention getter. If they just wanted to have some fun and not impress the neighborhood (aka make the old guy down the road gripe about all the noise), most people would run electric
because electric cars are cheaper for me and for two you don't need to buy fuel.
I prefer electric. these cars are much easier to maintain, aren't smelly, and more reliable than a nitro engine. you don't have to buy fuel every so often, or tune in the carb every time.
Nitro. More exciting for spectators. Electric is actually more expensive and short run times. (at least if you run mods)
Electric or nitro...very hard call. I would have to say nitro. With nitro you usually have more than enough power for whatever track your on without playing with timing, brush compounds, brush cuts, etc.
Gas is good for speed, but requires too much maintenance.

I have assos and other companies cars nitro and electric...I prefer electric because of their torque response and was cleaner than nitro cars, nitro motors gave me a lot of problems...(sorry! my English was not good!)

Both they each have there pro's and con's. nitro's have longer run times where as electric is quiet and with the new battery technology such as lithium ion being looked into the run times may become as long as nitro.
I prefer nitro because I am more comfortable with and engine and fuel than a motor and a battery. Once I heard about truing comn or whatever, and all this stuff needed to keep electric supplies in good order, I knew nitro was for me. Just add fuel and go!
ELECTRIC ! Its is cleaner, quieter, less mess, and contrary to what others believe, electric is faster. I have gone 75 MPH in an electric Drag car, 36 ounce, 10th scale, in 132 feet at the Colton track. I have never seen any gas come close to it. Ever. Look at the insane speed runs ! 85+ MPH. A gas car would fall apart before it would ever reach those speeds. Good question. :)

I prefer Electric because if your car gets damaged it is cheaper to fix it and if your going to a higher level in racing you still get decent racing parts at a cheaper price then a nitro motor and if you get that tweaked your basically screwed if you ain`t got enough cash for repairs...
