Kissing the trophy girl at the Snowbirds
I had just started racing and I entered the Hot Rod Hobbies 2002 Shootout and ended up TQing and winning the Novice class. Also that race they had started the PRO/AM race, were they pair a novice or sportsmen up with a pro and at the end of the weekend add up the combined scores of the racers and give the winning pair $100 each! Well I was teamed up with Adam Drake and we won. It was a very fun experience, considering that I had just started racing.
Being a nonsponsored driver in the A main in the truck class national event, when my turnbuckle popped off of my steering block. By the time my dad had snapped it back on I was 2 laps down, but I some how managed to make up both laps and finish in 8th place. And I wasn't even upset because not only did I know but Everyone there knew who the best driver was that day and which truck was the best that day.

I qualified 10th in the A main in 2wd wedge stock class at the 1992 roar dirt oval nationals at the sugarbowl r/c speedway in sugarhill ga. After being taken out by one of the sponsored drivers on the first lap and falling to tenth place I drove a clean race on and off the throttle to stay out of several Lexan swapping parties and when it was all over I had finished 6th in my first ever national event. Even got me talked to by two of the magazines there that were covering the event. David Butts Orange park Fl
When i won my first race at Stateline r.c. raceway. it wasn't much too win but it was my first win.

when i learned how to control the car
my proudest moment in r/c racing is when i beat someone in the class above me
When I was in a heat race smokin down the straight away and clipped the wall loosing a front wheel. The turn marshal was holding my car with me yelling to put it down, shortly joined by the whole crowd. He put it down and I finished several laps to qualify for the A main riding on the wheels with my GT. Thank you associated for a great truck.

my proudest moment was at roadrunner raceway in bloomsburgh pa back in 94 when i was only 13 or so....i was at the caret oval regional championships and i made it to the a-main, i was in the top ten out of 300 or so in the stock 1/10th pan car class. i finished in last in the a-main, but i was happy to make it to the final race of my class even though i was the only unsponsored driver, not to mention the fact i was by far the youngest racer there by at least 10 yrs of age ken werden-las vegas,NV
when david spashett (spelling!!) won 2 world titles and one world cup all in one month, and it being held in the UK was an added bonus. also on a personal note me making an A main final at one of our trophy meetings and finishing fourth overall, i've never been able to beat it since!!!

Back in '94 I was running carpet oval races at my local track with my RC-10Lss. I was pretty good, but nowhere near the caliber of the top drivers there at the time. I usually raced in the B-Mains and if I even sniffed out an A-Main I was having a great racing night. I guess you could've called me a true "low budget" racer. Anyhow, at one of the Saturday night races I was leading the B-Main... I mean I was running away with it. The car had the best pack, setup, stars were aligned kind of race. Since it was a short oval it didn't take long to lap the field... several times. At any rate 2/3's into the race I missed the turn entrance and drifted high and hard into the outside wall. I broke my right lower strut arm. Huge blow! The car was so good though that I managed to still win the race, barely, with only 3 functioning wheels. I was the talk of the A-Main crowd. It was my only win at the track before it closed down. That's my proudest R/C moment. Dave Knight
the proudest moment to me is when i drive my car and everybody stares at it as it speeds past them while they wish they had one
That would got to be When i jumped my Savage off a 10 foot dirt jump at 30 mph and didn't break anything. My friend jumped his monster GT and broke his dogbones and stripped his spur gear.!!!! That was so sweet. I was so proud!!

Winning the stock TriState (TN, GA, & AL) points series.
My Proudest moment was my very first race about 6 years ago. I was 23 years old, in my senior year of college and a newbie to RC Cars altogether. But it looked fun, so I borrowed my friend's original gold chassis RC10 buggy with 1400 NiCd packs and raced in the novice class. Lucky for me it turned out to be a big trophy race at R&L Hobbies in Portage, MI. I was pitted against kids who had all of the latest equipment and who had obviously done this before. I had a pack dump in the first heat, but after that I had solid consistent laps in the next two heats and made the A-Main for the Novice class.
I found that because my equipment was so outdated and worn out that the buggy was very controllable for me whereas the kids with all of the latest equipment and the best acceleration top speed just couldn't keep their trucks on the track. The main was quite exciting, I was actually quite nervous the whole day, because I didn't want to take anyone out that more experience then I did and I didn't want to squash anyone's buggies/trucks when I was marshaling. So when the buzzer went off for the start of the race I held back and let everyone else take off into the first corner. There was a huge pileup and I very carefully negotiated my way through it and led the first lap...nice and steady.
I didn't wreck or flip a single time during the entire four minutes, but there was some great competition. I went back and forth for the lead with one very skilled driver. However, he must have been pressing a little because he would come up and pass me and then wreck. I would slowly pass him back and then he would catch up and pass me again. This continued for the rest of the race...all the way up to the very last lap where he passed me in the back straight and led the rest of the way until he lost control coming out of the last corner and one more time I cruised by him to take the win. I took the trophy with pride.
Even though my opponents were only half my age, They were more skilled and had better equipment, but I kept at it and had more fun than I had had in a long time. I am now an RC Guy for life and have shared my love for the hobby with my friends and family and even though I don't get to race much, I will never forget that moment.
About 5 years ago at B.C.PLACE stadium we ran our rc cars at a monster truck show. We had 42,000 fans on the edge of their seats, it was a total blast.

My first time when I finally saved enough for an RC.
I live in Puerto Rico and I race in the grand prix that consist in racing around the different tracks of the island. My proudest moment was when the grand prix champion of 2002 told me that my racing style and ability are impressive skills. when I got my Monster GT to jump over 12 people at the skate park in town
My proudest moment in driving R/C is running a clean race with the leaders only 1 or 2 laps ahead of the last place drivers at the end of the race. I would prefer to lose in a race where everybody makes only a few mistakes than win in a race that keeps the turn marshals from being able to breathe.
When I entered my first race with a stock rtr t3 and came in 4th place

This was a long time ago, but I ran a flawless 2wd mod A main at the old Ranch Pit Shop and broke the track record back in the dirt oval day's, of course it was a modified RC10 with a MIP tranny and at the time a very hot Revolution 12x1 Motown Missle of Jack Johnson fame.

My proudest moment has to be the 1993 Massachusetts championship race in North Adams, Mass. I came from last place because of a bump start and charged back to second. 1.5 seconds away from first in modified buggies. In all of my 19 years of racing that stood out the best!! Chris Colella
1989 I came in 2nd overall at Hobby Corner Raceway, Decator, Ill. Running a Moody 1/8 Sprint Car. It was an 8 race series with 1 throw away. I was point leader by 1 point after 8 races, with 1 throw away, I finished 2nd by 2 points. I still went away smiling! It was great FUN! Rich Stuchel
my proudest moment in rc driving is when I Take out my tc3 team car and win a race!! Jose Tc3_racer2001
My proudest moment in racing is meeting Barry Baker, and having such a good friend as Jody Womack. Jody has been such a big help to my driving ability. Barry taught me a lot in Kennasaw Ga. about nitro cars, and Jody has helped me with both. I really believe Jody is a big part of the reason that I was able to win the Tennessee state championship of 2wd stock truck. TY associated for the great products. Keith Lane
The win! -Cam G.
