"What qualities stand out in a championship-winning driver?"

coolness under pressure, fast consistent lap times and good sportsmanship

sportsmanship

by helping out others when it's their first time. BY HAVING A GOOD CAR AND HAVING SKILLS BUT THE ONE THING IS TO HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE AND SET AN EXAMPLE FOR OTHERS SO THEY CAN FOLLOW YOUR STEPS -ALAN THE GREAT

He can drive!!!! He should be able to set up a car, and adjust to a track or race. and he must keep a cool clear head when it is go time.

I think the main things are determination, professionalism, extreme skills and nice hair.

Respect-of their equipment, sponsors, and competitors.

That you got the money and skill of driving.

Consistency. The drive to keep practicing to work out problem areas and try new methods. The ability to steer newbies down the right road and deter them from wasting money on needless parts. Answering questions in a professional manner and supporting the local tracks. -

Hmmm ... I notice that no one is saying THEY WIN RACES!

one who can win and lose and still be able to finish races

Humble, and professionally represents his sponsors

a championship driver needs to be a good sport and needs to put time on tuning and fixing his car.

"Championship drivers don't look in their rear view mirror when they race". What I mean from that has to do with their attitude after a mistake. Nobody drives a perfect race, you can't fret about your last turn or pass, if you do, you only set yourself up for another mistake and fall further behind or blow a lead. You have to keep a cool focused head during the race, after the race is over, you can go back a dissect what happened and learn from it.

Clean driving. Nothing matters if you crash all the time. -Marcus

They gotta have insane skill and be able to drive consistently. Helping out the newbies is always nice, and they also have to have a name that looks good on posters!

sportsman, good driver, clean looking car, paint job, and equipment, willing to help and talk to other racers, professional image to the public--MC

well i have never won a championship myself but all champions pay attention to detail. u see them at their pit area between every heat working to make their car the fastest it can be. they do their homework. months before the race they are scoping out the track and the condition. they pay attention to everything from tires to tranny to altitude. those r the true makings of a champion

Honesty, Attitude, perseverance, and skill in that order. Skill can be learned but a great person is raised.

good sportmanship, good attitude, have a positive mind, clean, prays, and needs skill......-alan

Being able to come in 1st...more than the competition. That was easy!

They don't put down other companies and act professionally and help other racers. They have good sportsman ship and can take the fact that they didn't win and aren't sore losers.

Outstanding qualities in a Championship Winning driver would be : Knowledge of the product, good sportsmanship, connection between the driver and the model he/she is driving on a deeper level. Being one with the vehicle.

He knows when to brake and when to accelerate. Also, he knows how to tune his vehicle and knows what all the features do.

some-one who is willing to help anybody, no matter what age and never shows a bad attitude after coming in second or worse (reason being: no matter how big the race always have fun at what your doing...thanks

The thing that stands out to me about a Championship driver, is one that gives of himself in every part of racing. I think the driver should be able to be approachable to all people. The Racer should be able to explain changed to a car that could help a young driver. They also need to represent the company the are sponsored by on the track and off. I myself love to race all classes and am willing to help anybody with any questions they may have. Just treating people the way you would like to be treated is the best thing a Championship-wining driver could portray

Championship-winning drives possess focus and skill. But most important is patience.

The qualities that stand out in a championship driver are good sportsmanship, the fact that they are always to help people

it was the skill & the car

His or her attitude, calmness, willingness to change as the race does. Smoothness and most of all-kindness

Winning

Dedication, bullet proof concentration, the will and desire for success, extreme discipline, through all events good and bad still manages to stay focused on the goal, A CHAMPIONSHIP DRIVER IS BORN
