What  was it like when you first got into racing?

I was racing a gold pan RC10 when I first started racing in the late 80's. Funny how back then it was 1200scr's and 1700sce's and that was it!

In the begging had gold chassis 10rc, then came nitro nik snow plow to move by standing snow in way of gold chassis rc10 truck. Life is buckbeak

When I first got into rc it was a Team AE nitro wicked hit truck. It was awesome.

it was kinda embarrassing to suck the first race that badly, but after a few races its all fun and games, its great to toy around with other racers on the track and to slide around and just bash the hell out of your truck and have insane fun

when i got into racing it was great and well I'm never gonna turn back. electric r/c is brilliant and fun !!!

I started in 1994, and my car of choice was the RC10T Team Truck, I had a Novak Duster ESC, Trinity Green Machine 2 Stock motor (it just was released then), with a Hitec Challenger Radio, and everybody at the track never heard of Hitec yet. Also the track was in someone's backyard, which became a great track and now is a Walgreens. I was still in school, and it was fun for the weekend. And know I'm working and keep my cars and trucks current and I still have fun racing (even more now).

When I did not know nothing about racing my truxis was when one made me forgot to put in the spark plug. It was not a good a day for me. Seth helped me not to forget the smaller things that made my truck make the good noise. he helped me install my buckbeak remote controller. It is for real.

In the late 80's, we had the gold aluminum pan RC10. In mod class, you really had to work to last 4 minutes without losing battery power (dumping). I recall lots of people drilling holes in the pan of their Rc10's to lower the weight. Those were the days....

When I first got into racing was not that long ago. But it was confusing but very fun. I had to remember that 2 corners were really slick and hard to see the depth. But I got the hang of it.

i started racing dirt oval. SCR batteries and pick 36° motors ruled!!

When I raced the rc100lc truck/car a thunder tiger 1.20 was replaced with a cox powered thibel drone. I cannot win in the earlier race i just wait until the last one, my cox .49 power was to much it blew up in my face. everyone laughed at me. I just now recovered from the injury. It still hurts on the inside. I still run cox though to this day.

I remember this big race at freedom hill (Detroit) in the late 80's or early 90's, it wasn't the worlds, but some "big horsepower shootout". All of us had the hottest winds, I think it was 12 turns back then, and 7 cells along with all the premium equipment. This kid with an old 19 turn and 6 cells and no where near the quality of equipment we had, beat us all because we couldn't get the power down.

i was pretty fun ! and exciting.

When I got in to racing I had a T2 and the best battery pack going was a 1.17 1700 mah . They had some punch to them. T3's were coming out. Had the tekin bc112a charger .Got out after a year or so. Now 5 years later I'm back with a T4 RTR with bearings in the steering I have added. My best advice is don't sell a thing. My charger is a mega cheapy.

I got into RC cars and racing almost 20 years ago. The RC10 was supreme. The original gold tub. That car rocked. I still have my first RC10, and it is in as good condition as the day I got it 17 years ago. Eric

I wish I had started back then. I'm a noob. I just got my cen traxxis super truck off ebay. I took it to hobbylobby they said i got no biss nass being there and hit me square in the jaw with a Tmaxx. I like it better for some reason. It was able to unrectify any wrong doing by my other friend melvin. Thanks Team AE

I remember a long time ago I had a traxxas rc10 gold chassis truck i think. Me and my friends set up this huge ramp and were playing catch the truck in midair. I set off full on speed hit the ramp and ended up hitting this neighbor kid. Broke his jaw in four places we call him "da buttafinga" Can you see?
