I looked for one with good turns and I sometimes ask the person if this is the best motor for the specific truck. And I also look for the lower turns 'cause it adds more speed to the car.
a balance of speed and power mixed with a little rpm.
Back in the day of Joel Johnson racing carpet and off road and Gil Losi Jr. was racing it was signature motors. Almost always got a great motor. Now though you really have to keep up with the manufacturer because every one builds good motors now, it's just type of use and preference.
Wattage, I need the power. All the time. Full on. Slow cars lose races and look bad when they do it. Fast cars lose too but still look good. DC fury!
I looked at speed and durability. Also if alot of people preferred the motor that I was thinking of getting.
When I'm choosing mod motor, I read all the reviews and opinions on that motor. I also make sure that it fits what I need it for, i.e. if I need it for an off-road track with a lot a straights I make sure that motor well be be able to stay competitive. Also the else of replacing and find new brushes.
well i find my self looking at 3 things when looking at a modified motor.. 1. power and how efficient it is 2. the reviews on that motor 3. the design of the motor it self
I was interested in performance, reliability. I wanted something a bit faster, but not reckless to drive. All of that speed does nothing if you keep crashing.
