1998 Question of the Week:
"What was the single best piece of equipment you added to your car or truck?"
Without a doubt the best thing I added to my truck is the LRP Digital speed control.
a good motor
The best thing I added to my RC10GT was my Lunsford tie rods
I would have to say titanium tie rods, because on stock kits they are the first parts
to break
My RC10T truck came with them, but bearings have to be the most important hop up you
can buy if you don't already have them. Other wise I would say a good servo.
the graphite control arms...(About 5 sets a week)
My brain. Oh, you mean RC equipment. Its got to be titanium turnbuckles, I hate putting
them together and these last longer because they don't bend.
The best piece of equipment I added was my fm radio
CVD's and spoiler
I think the best piece of equipment that can be added to your car is a good and solid
speed control or a good set of tires
MIP CVD'S, THE ALUMINUM ONES
The single best piece of equipment I added to my car and truck has been shock springs
shock oils tires that hook up n the track that I race at and DEFINITELY a rear sway bar. I
am nuts about these because they add so much more controllable steering. MW
Titanium Ti-rods
Ball bearing steering
I would say an Electronic Speed Control!!!! ( with no motor limit ) Don
If Sport version, would get bearings ! If the kit already has them, then an ESC, because both would just have more speed & control !!
The best new addition to my RC10B3 Team Car are Lunsford Turn Buckles and replacing the original steering arms with steering arms from the B2.
A high speed high torque servo.
T3 Terror
electrics-lrp ipc v6, chassis-carbon fiber chassis
It all depends on the level you are on now. First, if you still have a mechanical speed control, get an electric one. Next, if you have bushings, get bearings. After that, go wild. Graphite, titanium, chrome, etc.
I would say the new O'Donnell heatsink head for the O.S. Cv Max. It keeps my engine cool and my Gt fast.
The best thing that I have added to my truck dust covers for my radio gear.
Definitely titanium turnbuckles, or the Novak Cyclone
a good esc.
I think that the obvious answer is an electronic speed control! If you already have one then I think that a high quality servo like airtronics 94157 is the way to go!!
FAST & HIGH TORQUE servo for my RC10GT.
an FM radio
metal gear servo in my b2, because I stripped so many servos because I used to be a bad driver
Titanium tie rods and hinge pins.
I most definitely say, a good steering servo. For off road racing you need high torque and speed. This is costly. A standard servo is about $10 to $30. A pro-race servo, that will greatly improve your buggy or truck's performance, cost around $68 to $199. Off road racing demands performance, strength, and durability for your servo. Please buy servos that you can depend on for maximum control and agility. Eric Townsend Wheeling, Il
electronic speed control or ball bearings
So far it is my $50 speed control: basic, but a large improvement! No receiver pack, so my truck is much lighter.
