"What is the current controversy at your local track?"
the controversy is simply a complete lack of organization . as a result the track is about to go under. In order to survive a track must have an owner who cares enough to hire someone to run the show. this owner talks about it, but never does a thing about it. how's that for a "controversy" ?
Which will still be better, the RC10GT or the Losi NXT. I think Associated will always rule!
Is Mugen truly better than Kyosho in 1/8th scale buggies.
THE GUYS WHO RUN THE TRACK NEVER GROOM IT, FILL IN HOLES ON THE TRACK, ETC. (DON'T TAKE CARE OF IT) SO BASICALLY THE TRACK IS ROUGHER THAN HELL AND THE WHOLE TWO JUMPS ARE ALL MESSED UP SO YOU CAN HARDLY CLEAR THE DOUBLE. PLUS THEY NEVER WATER IT.
We have had a lot of them, no home made chassis for dirt oval, the 24 degree motor rule, everything has to go by roar rules now, even though his track has nothing to do with them, since we got a new owner everything has gonna really far down hill, basic thing is he has no idea what the hell he is doing, but he tries to make everyone think he is all great but he isn't. The old people who used to run the track were damn cool. There have been a lot of controversies though since he has bought it, he just can't keep things together or get anything done right, and the bad thing is is that he is buying more tracks, already owns 2 or three, seen the attendance drop at one of them already
Whether to limit the stock gas class to driver skill or car quality.
controversy here is to what is going to happen if we don't get any HEAT!!!!!LOL we don't have any and it gets mighty cold in the winter.
Well this happened a few weeks back. Mr X was leading Mr Y by about 12 secs at around 4:45 mark. Mr X came around to Lap Mr Y's brother. Mr Y's brother hacked Mr X a long way from a marshalling point. After being turned over MR Y leads the race. Mr X believes this is wrong and cuts the last chicane just as Mr Y turns over. Mr X takes a stop and go penalty for ten seconds and still wins. Mr X disqualified
Track Owners Don't Check Stock Motors

No auto-counting system which leads to miscounts and also poor turn marshalling.
On a night (Wed.) which is designed for beginning racers, should beginners be told to let the leaders (a few pros) go by? How can a new racer improve if they are told to get out of the way? I think the best way to improve is to attempt to stay with the leaders. Certainly, it cannot be good to discourage new racers from trying.
Classes.. Two tracks, dirt and black top oval. ROAR rules but ROAR management not to
stable. Simple rule of management, make decision and implement. Tracks should PRINT rules
for all and if they have a web site post'em."
Kinda like having the manufacturers posting their products costs. Ya, right.
Conformity, it will give meaning to the hobby and entice others to want to race under some

The controversy is the rush in tc racing, its messing up my 1/12
The current controversy at my home track is what car is the fastest. This track is in the heart of TRINITY /TRC country with several A team drivers competing weekly. The controversy comes from me running the new L30 car and winning for the last two weeks. The purple gang has sworn revenge and to recapture the record. SRM

Why no one makes a reasonable Rx for us KO 27mHz users so we don't have to spend $80 on a stock KO Rx
Whether or not the new, removable endbell stock motors should be legal or not. I think it is ok because of all the tamperproof devices. In fact I've seen people open stock motors and cheat by putting in a mild mod arm. I don't think they're any faster so I am not going to use them.
It would have to be the lap counters
many racers at my track are upset because the track owner won't allow the racers to use certain hop ups. He feels that the machines should be kept stock even in the stock motor class where weight needs to be lost on the cars for more performance. In the mod class, the cars can only use a speedgem motor, this owner is trying to make the classes like street spec, nothing goes.
The most recent thing people like to talk about is which is better Losi or Associated, I always pick Associated. Losi is alright buyt i will stick to my Associated cars.
why should electric racers corner a longer main for gas? i say because we volunteer every race to corner for electric, the least they could do is corner a little longer for one race.
Can't we all just get along?
It makes one warm in the heart that certain people have to discontinue their nitro truck in order to develop a new one that will attempt to compete with the immaculate (accept for the tub chassis) RC10GT.
Finding qualified people to organize and efficiently run the race program so that we can finish our races before 2:30am.(55 carpet oval).
We are people who love our sport, why do we treat each other so bad? ASS & LOS we still love r/c.
People complain to much an get on the marshal's. It got so bad the owners stopped races and now my son and I have no place close to home to race.
