1999 Question of the Week:

On which area of your kit do you spend the most time tuning?

On the rc10gt it would be the slipper

transmission

Shocks get about 90% of my time. The correct wt. oil, springs, and what pistons to run. The rest stays pretty much stock. See ya at the REEDY RACE!!!!!

The place on my car in which I spend the most time tuning is in my driving skills and learning to be patient and stay off the pipes, before that no amount of tuning can help me.

I focus on the shocks primarily. I run a special RC-10 Dual sport that my cousin designed, known as a BAD CHICKEN chassis. It was first designed for dirt oval racing, and is off set, and cut. We have also made special modifications to the transmission portion of the car. But to really make this car run well, you have to focus on the shocks. You have to know what to do if the car is pushing, or too loose. After you get her dialed in, she runs like a bullet. The car has won 7 of 9 races in the series, and won the track championship. But the key to everything is shocks.

I'd have to the shocks. Trying out set-ups to try and get the best one. Next would be tires but that is pretty much a race day thing.

I think the most important part of my T3 to tune is the tires and gearing. You can do all the sock and oil and ride height stuff you want but if the gearing or tires are wrong you can't win.

I would have to say that I spend alot of time on the suspension or the motor, mostly cleaning and checking the brushes. krkroupa

All areas get their share on my T3. The Shocks get absolutely the most, next is the toe in/out and camber. That is just the kit the thing that gets the most attention for sure.

Definitely the suspension, always looking for a new combination of oils, pistons, and springs that will perform better on different tracks.

suspension setup like shock oil, piston, springs and tweak.

I spend most of my time tuning on my shocks and after that I tear down my whole truck and clean it. I always clean my hinge pins because sometimes the tend to squeak, I hate that. By the way I have an RC10 T3

Handling

MOST TIME SPENT IS ON GEARING MY MODIFIED MOTORS

Suspension, ride height, and the two-speed in my NRS4

It would probably be the transmission

the rear suspension

making sure suspension arms are really free and diff. is really smooth

THE GEAR OR THE RADIO AT FRONT

I spend most of the time tuning the gear mesh on my Tamyia F-1 Car. It is always changing, despite the use of thread lock. Either there is too much space or not enough. I wish it would just be set and stay that way instead of me having to adjust it after every run.

THE CARB

pretty much finding the right tires for my B3s and correct shock oil to suite different tracks
B3BUGGYBOY

I'd have to go with tires because I am constantly switching tires trying to find the one that hooks up the best

I work on it's weight and my driving skills because I race with people that have been driving for 10 years so they have about 9 more years of experience than me :( oh well, eventually I will get better and hopefully beat them

The suspension components.

I spend the most time assembling cars!! I don't race so I just put cars together for other people.. hence I spend the most time building them :P

suspention, camber, caster, motor, reducing drive train friction (rotating mass)

My alignment.

Mostly on the motor (brushes, springs...) and the suspension, oils, springs, mounting holes,, trying to get the back end of my truck to stick, which it won't seem to do now for some reason or another, just that stuff.

Everything near the front suspension

front suspension

definitely the shocks... and the Tranny... J. Emont

i spend the most time tuning toe in/out and tires for my rc12L3

tyres and shocks are the most important areas for me as well as gearing i don't spend a lot of time on geometry.

On my kit most of my time is spent on the motor.

tuning the suspension, and handling characteristics. you can't win if you can't take corners and jumps with ease. This is the most important part of a car or offroad truck in my opinion.

I spend the most time tuning linkage, turnbuckles, shocks, and tranny parts.

I run the RC10B3 and with out a doubt, it is the front steering. Everything from broken steering blocks to suspension adjustments and alignments take up most of my time.

i try to tune my car to fit the way i drive on a given track. i take it off the street and leave the setup the same then fine tune the weak spots

body : )

It is more than likely the shocks; trying to bleed them and make them smooth as possible. But for me it's the getting it around the track. Learning to feather the throttle and cornering just right!

It depends I think that the suspension and the motor it really depend were the the problem with your car is but the truth is Associated's are so good they don't need that much tuning

tires and suspension for best off road handling first only to practice practice practice..thor at team xipp

The other competitors cars. While they go for a soda, i play with their car like a rubix cube and then RUN, and never look back. Oh yeah, filling my shocks with curded cheese takes a while.

the shocks, the motor, the degree thingy things on the wheels

The suspension

da' tranny.
