Synopsis:
Located in Lake Park, a nature preserve in Tampa, FL, the Hurricane R/C Club
laid out a challenging and ever-changing layout for this year’s Losi Offroad
Championships. In his first trip to Lake Park, Team Associated/Reedy driver
Ryan Maifield piloted his Factory Team RC10T4 to the top qualifying
position, just ahead of Associated teammate Ryan Cavalieri.
In the main events fellow Associated driver Jared Tebo joined the hunt for the overall win with a second place finish behind Maifield in the 1st of the triple “A” main event. In the 2nd “A” main Ryan Cavalieri took the win with Maifield less than a second behind. Going in to the 3rd main all three Associated drivers had a shot at the overall win, but it was the TQ Maifield taking home the victory in A3 to secure the overall win.
