"After thirteen
rounds of racing at the BRCA International Scale Touring Car World Cup, held at Alexandra
Palace in London, Team Associated's Billy Easton emerged victorious racing the new
Associated TC3. One of only five drivers to finish with a points maximum, he took the win
thanks to his total elapsed time being eight seconds quicker than HPI's Swiss star
Jean-Marc Betticher. Mark Pavidis took third place from Barry Baker and Craig Drescher.
Four days of racing on
a excellent large carpet circuit provided a superb spectacle for the crowds attending the
International Model Show, and introduced many people to the excitement of World class R/C
touring car racing. Run to the same control formula pioneered at Ontrack '98, all
competitors raced on M1T27 control tyres and a minimum of 12 turn motors, although 3000mAh
cells were allowed in a British competition for the first time."

London, Team Associated's Billy Easton emerged victorious racing the new Associated TC3.
Billy was one of only five drivers to finish with a points maximum, he took the win thanks
to his total elapsed time being eight seconds quicker than the surprisingly fast HPI from
Jean-Marc Betticher. Mark Pavidis took third place from Barry Baker and Craig Drescher.
LRP had more speed controls in the Top 10 than any other manufacturer, many thanks to
Billy, Mark, Craig, Steven, Andrew and David for their support and their great performance
at the ISTC World-Cup.
Billy and Mark both used the
Reedy Modified Fury motor and Reedy 3000 cells.
