With a race history dating back to 1995, the Northwest Gold Cup at Tacoma R/C Raceway is one of the premier races held in the Northwest. Four rounds of qualifying with bump-ups to the triple A Mains meant lots of exciting racing!

Team Associated was in attendance, supporting racers and battling for wins on the track. Most had recently mounted the new 12mm big bore shocks to their cars and it was time to put them to the test.

Results? Great wins in modified:

Chris Bridgewater dominated Modified Truck.
Luke Smith won the Mod 4WD class with his B44.2!
Luke also won the Modified SC class in a close battle with teammate John Walentia.
Michael Schoettler took the highly contested Mod Buggy class with his Reedy powered B4.1 Worlds Car.
Privateer Mikey Brown drove to a steady win in 4x4 SC.

Associated vehicles also took the stock classes:

Jon Sterling paced the Stock Buggy field.
Mike Shirk won Stock Truck.
Chris Bellanca cruised to victory in Stock SC.

8 out of 9 wins!

Thanks to the TRCR crew for putting on a first-class race!
