Daimon Borkowicz and Team Associated Sweep the 2015 GIC

Once again HotshotRC Raceway in Marietta, GA played host to the 2nd Annual Georgia Indoor Championships November 14-15, 2015. The track is roughly 90' x 65' and was beautifully manicured, hard packed, pure Georgia red clay. The track started out a little slick for practice, but local Team Associated driver Mark Moon had his teammates dialed in with the hot setups.

Daimon had all three of his Team Associated vehicles working extremely well going into qualifying. He was able to TQ 2WD Mod Buggy with his Reedy-powered newly announced RC10B5M Champions Edition as well as TQ'd 2WD Mod Truck with his Reedy-powered T5M. He also qualified second overall in 4WD Mod Buggy with his Reedy-powered B44.3.

Main day arrived and Daimon showed he still had another level as he went on to dominate the triple A-Main format in all three classes. First up was 2WD Mod Buggy where he took his B5M to a wire-to-wire victory in both A-1 and A-2 for the overall win with teammate Paul Wynn securing the third podium spot with his B5M Championship Edition.

2WD Truck Mod was next and once again Daimon took the overall win by winning the first two A Mains with his T5M. Second place went to Landen Lewis with his T5M, and Team Associated driver Blake Boggs locked up the third podium spot with his T5M for a Team Associated sweep.

4WD Mod Buggy was the final Pro class to run and Daimon wasn't done. He took his B44.3 straight to the front as he led every lap wire-to-wire in both A-1 and A-2 for the overall championship!

Team Associated vehicles also dominated several other classes with Alan Wight TQ'ing and winning the highly contested 2WD Stock Buggy class with his B5M buggy. AJ Marasco TQ'd and won the 2WD Stock Truck class with his T5M, and Robert Molina TQ'd and won the 2WD Stock SCT class with his SC5M. The SC5M also won the 2WD Mod SCT class with Landen Lewis.
