Summer Series Wins at the Plex

Round 2 of the Team Associated Summer Series at the Hobby Plex in Omaha, NE had another good turnout, with 177 entrants competing on a fast and technical layout. Racers from Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota were on hand to battle it out for the top steps of the podium, and a chance to advance in the points standings.

Team Associated/Reedy team drivers Alex Vanderbeek and Tom Rinderknecht took victories for Team Associated and Reedy in all three of the premier Modified classes. Tom set the TQ in Mod 4WD, and took a commanding win over the field with his Reedy-powered Factory Team B44.3, "throwing big whips along the way," in his words.

Alex Vanderbeek started P2 in both Mod Buggy and Mod Truck. He took the lead early in Truck and lapped through fourth on his way to a big win with his Reedy-powered T5M.

In Mod Buggy Alex Vanderbeek was able to make some moves in the first few minutes of the race and drive away from the field to take another victory with his Reedy-powered Team Associated B5M WC Edition.

Alex and Tom are great friends off the track and keep motivating each other to take it to a higher level. Thanks to Team Associated and Reedy for the support of this series, and for their continued efforts to put these young racers on top!
