Zammit takes 3 at the Victorian Drivers Series, Round 2

Team Associated and Reedy dominated the Open classes in round 2 of the Victorian Drivers Series down under, with young gun Cameron Zammit doing the "triple" -- taking 2WD Mod, 4WD Mod, and Stadium Truck against a deep field.

Held in the regional town of Mildura, 550km northwest of Melbourne, Australia, over 140 entries were received for the three-day event at the club's new facility. With a natural red clay surface that grooved up, a huge layout, and winter desert climate giving big temperature variations, it was a true off-road challenge.

In 2WD Mod, seven of the A finalists were driving B5Ms, with Zammit, Matt Griffin, and Ray Munday making it a Team Associated/Reedy clean sweep. Zammit and Munday took 1-2 in 4WD Mod with their B44.3 buggies; Zammit, Andrew Selvaggi, and Jarrod Jackson placed 1-2-3 in Stadium Truck with their T5M trucks, and in SCT Mark Rogers, Munday, and 11-year-old Jordan Isergin made it another all-Team Associated podium. In the Junior 17.5 and 2WD 21.5 classes, father-and-son team Tim and Kye Drust both took the win with their B5M vehicles, showing how versatile the car is on these outdoor dirt tracks.
