Tozser Doubles at Oil City Dash

What do Canadian RC racers do when it dips to 40°F with howling winds and the occasional sleet shower? They put on their winter gear and race two one-hour nitro A Mains!

The Oil City Dash is one of the premiere Off-Road events in western Canada put on by the RCRE club in Edmonton, Alberta. Held on a DNC-style track with a great layout, elevation changes, and big air, it challenged even the most experienced racers attending.

In the chilly one-hour-long Truggy A Main, Team Associated drivers Peter Tozser and Eric Hardy worked their RC8T3s into the lead by the first set of pit stops and gapped the rest of the field, finishing a strong 1-2.

Starting from the TQ spot in Nitro Buggy, Peter had some ground to make up with his RC8B3 after a first-lap incident, as Cory Drachenberg checked out from the get go with his buggy. Throughout the long main, Peter worked his way up the field and battled with Cory for the win in the closing minutes of the race to bring home his second victory of the event.
