The R.O.A.R. 1:10 Electric Off-Road Nationals drew the best racers throughout the U.S. and Canada to compete for the coveted titles. This year, The Track in Gaithersburg, MD (just outside of Washington D.C.) hosted the event and presented a unique challenge. As a facility that doesn't have a signature event, most of the competitors had never been there before. With an evolving surface and unknown preparation, it was a new challenge each day.

In the 2WD Modified Short Course class Team Associated drivers Ryan Cavalieri, Alex Kosciuszek, Spencer Rivkin, and Austin Horne stood out from the field during qualifying. With Cavalieri, Kosciuszek, and Rivkin all taking a TQ in qualifying, Cavalieri got the second TQ to secure the pole position for Sunday's triple A-Main events. Checking out from the competition, the top three of Cavalieri, Kosciuszek, and Rivkin were clearly the class of the field, and with a win in A1 and A2 Cavalieri took home his fifth consecutive National Championship in the class. With a hard-fought win in A3, Kosciuszek held off Rivkin to finish second overall, with Rivkin rounding out the podium. With Austin Horne finishing fifth, the SC5M took four of the top five positions and had the majority in the main event with six total trucks.

In the up-and-coming and very competitive class of 13.5 4WD Buggy, Factory Tracks and Team Associated supported driver Dreighton Stoub started on pole with his Reedy Powered B64D. After a rough A1 from Stoub that saw privateer Jackson Brunson, also driving a B64D, take the win, the race was on. In A2 it was another B64D privateer Will Cushing who got the win while Stoub finished second. This set the stage for a winner-take-all scenario in A3 among the three drivers. After the dust settled and the times were posted, it was a three-way tie for the win. Utilizing the R.O.A.R. tiebreaker system of combined laps and times of the two best points, Stoub won the National Championship by just four seconds over Cushing, who beat Brunson by just a second. Needless to say, the racing was tight and fierce, but the B64D handled it and finished 1-4 with Team Associated's AJ Maasco finishing fourth.

Team Associated congratulates the winners and thanks Mimi Wong, along with her staff at The Track, for hosting the Nationals. This event also continued the unbeaten streak of National Championships for Team Associated in the 2WD Modified Short Course class with nine consecutive 2WD Modified Short Course National Championships among the SC10, SC10.2 and SC5M vehicles.
