Alex Bernadzik Takes Truggy Win at Australian National Titles round 2

Last weekend we attended the running of round two of the Australian 1/8 nitro off road national series at the MORBC facility in Perth, Western Australia. We arrived to find a challenging layout which provided some great racing.

After the qualifying rounds I found myself in fourth overall, but a clean run in the 30-minute semi was enough to secure a first-place start for the 45-minute final. By this time the racing surface had changed again, with a very narrow racing line providing good traction. Straying from that line cost us time, as the dusty surface on either side offered very little grip.

My RC8T3.1 handled these conditions brilliantly and after losing the lead in the first corner I was able to re-take first position after a few laps and lead for the rest of the final to take the win.

This event also doubled up as the warmup for this year's I.F.M.A.R. Worlds 1/8 Off Road Championship to be held at this track. A number of drivers from Europe and Asia made the trip here to compete in the Buggy class to learn the conditions. This made for a great Buggy final in which I was able to take fourth place with my RC8B3.1.
