2010 Motorama: Chad Due and Jason Ruona take 5 wins in the electric modified classes. JR Mitch makes a strong showing in 1/8th electric, nitro and 1/8th truck.

Motorama is an east coast motorsports spectacular. Combining the best of amateur and professional's alike Motorama has become an east coast favorite. Open to the public, this event has constant exposure to new people which makes attendance ideal for industry marketing and growth.

With a split nitro and electric event, things were especially busy. JConcepts drivers Chad Due, Jason Ruona, and JR Mitch made the trip to snowy Pennsylvania with high hopes.

Chad Due racing his Team Associated B4, T4, and SC10 had a fantastic weekend, taking all three TQ's and wins. With a fresh surface, early runs on the track were difficult for tire selection and set-up. However, as qualifying moved along it was apparent that the B4, T4, and SC10 combination was on a roll. Winning the first two A Mains in both 2WD and Truck showed Chad was up to the challenge. Chad's B4, T4, and SC10 were glued to the track all weekend with the tire choice being Bar Codes in Gold Compound in 2WD and Truck, and Green Compound Goose Bumps in Short Course.

Jason Ruona with his JConcepts-equipped Team Associated B44 took out the 4WD Modified class by winning A Main A1 and A2. Qualifying was not easy for Jason as coming up to speed was somewhat of a challenge. However, the Associated team worked together pushing the tire and setup combination as the race progressed. With a great start in A1 and A2 Jason never looked back. Jason pushed Chad in the Short Course mains by winning A2, and after a tie in points and a faster overall time, Chad was awarded the first place. The SC10 swept the top three, finishing first, second and third overall.

JR Mitch running the nitro program remained at the top of the event all weekend. Qualifying third in all classes which included 1/8th Nitro and Electric Buggy and 1/8th Truck, JR was on quite a roll. His RC8B was on target all weekend and especially in round 4 of qualifying, where he TQ'd the round with a blistering run.

With a great start in the Buggy A Main, JR had no problems early and pulled out to a nice lead. A small mistake put him in third and chasing the leaders, but time was of the essence. An extra pit stop made things more difficult, giving away valuable time to the speedy crew from Las Vegas and California. After a hard fought 30-minute main, JR would have to settle for fourth, narrowly missing the podium. Post race inspections shows no strain on the equipment and with great tire wear and insert longevity, JR was battling to the end.

Truggy was pure muscle as the RC8T-CE appeared to be yet again on rails. JR, an all-purpose performer, pushed the truggy in round 4 with a second for the round, positioning himself nicely in third place on the grid for the A Main.

With drivers introduced and truggies running, it was down and quiet and blast off. Mitch battled hard but was a victim to unfortunate traffic and an extra pit stop which allowed the competition to jump into second and close in on the leader. JR crossed the finish for a well-deserved third place. Looking over the equipment during the post-race inspection showed once again the RC8T-CE has what it takes in long main events. With great tire and insert wear characteristics, JR was in great position for the long haul.
