The weekend of August 11-12 saw the running of the 2007 Victorian Electric Off Road State Championships.

Keilor Electric Off Road Car Club was the host of this year's race and has since been announced as the host of the 2008 Nationals. Certainly their efforts at this race proved they are capable of holding major events.

The race drew around 160 entries, making this year's event the second-biggest electric offroad race in Australia.

Matt Griffin dominated the Modified classes with his Reedy/Nosram powered B4, T4, and BJ4, TQ'ing and winning each class.

Up-and-coming young Wodonga racer Jay Beattie backed up Matt's win with a TQ and win in Truck Stock, proving he will be a name to watch in the future.
