Team Associated dominates the 4WD classes at the inaugural 1/18 Scale Nationals at R/C Madness! With over 230 entries, this was one of the biggest events to date for the 1:18 scale vehicles!

In the 4WD Stock class qualifying, Josh Anderson TQ'd, with Tony Phalen and Eric Desrosiers rounding out the top three. In the main, Tony and Josh got tangled up with some lapped traffic to let Eric move to the lead. From there, Eric put together some quick and consistent laps to pull off the win! Josh finished second with Tony finishing third.

In the 4WD Modified class, Tony Phalen took top honors with Josh Anderson less than half a second behind and Eric Desrosiers less than one second behind Josh. In the main, Josh and Eric hit and let Tony gain a pretty sizeable lead. Three minutes into the main, Tony got tangled up with some lapped traffic, letting Eric pass him for the lead. The final two minutes showed Tony and Eric battling back and forth for the win. On the final lap, Tony made a risky move by JUMPING a whole corner of the track to land right on the start/finish line! In the end, Eric won by .1 seconds! Josh finished up in third place.

All three drivers used Reedy Mini-Max Modified Motors and the new LRP Quantum Competition 2 Micro ESC and LRP 1200UP Micro Packs.

In the 4WD Brushless class, Jeff Winholt took the TQ and easy win to his first National title! Finishing second was Dave Gage, with Tony Priolo rounding out third.

Team Associated would like to thank the crew at R/C Madness for putting on a great event!
