Double Win for Reedy at the 15th Annual Apex Challenge

The 2024 Apex Challenge Snowbirds Warm-up event was held this past weekend at Apex RC Raceway. This is the 15th year for the event. This event is one of the BEST to prepare for the Birds coming up the following week. Apex is one of the largest on-road carpet tracks in the U.S. and home to multiple National Champions and Worlds contenders. So competition is always up to the highest standard.

Reedy Power drivers were on hand to see where they stacked up at the event. Myron "Battman" Kinnard, Logan Pilcher, and Scott Pilcher prepared to compete against some stiff competition in USGT, and the largest class of the event USVTA.

The event held a nice practice session and plenty of setup time for travelers and locals. The layout was fairly green but Apex always gets grip, and plenty of it.

We ran three rounds of qualifying and single mains. With eight classes to include in the race program, this made for a very good day of racing.

In USGT, Logan was able to secure a fourth-place finish after a P5 start. Battman secured TQ and went on to win the class.

In USVTA, Logan put in a great run to finish fifth with a P7 A-main start.I was able to start P1 and ran the 8-minute main out front the entire time to secure another win. It's the first time any racer has taken USGT and USVTA at this event for over 10 years, and it was Reedy Power that did it back then too.
