Wynn vs. Beryl

Friday, Jun 1, 2012 at 12:00am UTC

Shiverville Raceway is quickly becoming a second home to Florida racers. Once a play track for family and friends, it is now consistently hosting some of North Florida's premier events. The 2012 Sunshine State Classic attracted 108 entries over Memorial Day weekend to race and remember the men and women who gave their lives serving our country.

Once again the Shiverville crew did an amazing job preparing the track surface, which provided the racers with great traction throughout the day. Reedy/AE factory driver driver Paul Wynn took full advantage of the track conditions and set the TQ pace in both 2WD SCT Mod and 2WD Mod Buggy classes with his Reedy-powered SC10FT and B4.1 Worlds kits. Unfortunately, tropical storm Beryl made an early appearance at the end of qualifying and washed out the mains, giving Paul the top podium spots in both classes.

Special thanks to Shiverville Raceway and crew!
